Winemaker's Notes 2021 Veeder

“For Mt. Veeder, the 2021 season began with very little rain, which allowed for natural cluster loads on the vines, and required very little fuit dropping and pruning. The lasting drought resulted in a smooth and even ripening process with no real significant heat events during the Summer. Harvested in Mid-September, the grape yields were relatively low, with smaller berries and thicker skins, thus resulting in intense flavors with booming ripe tannins and great concentration. 2021 will be one of the more memorable vintages in recent years.
