A tannic, meaty, balanced mountain wine with a full-bodied structure, and wide, long mid-palate that washes over the sides of the tongue with Black fruit influences, and tight minerality.
Perfectly balanced acidity fills out the back end and finishes with a long, lingering Blue fruit splash, provoking an earthy wash of chocolate, berries and sandalwood.
Unmistakable hints of tobacco, nutmeg and Crème Brulee carry this wine to the end, and help to display its multi-layered spectrum of Mt Veeder structure and dusty, savory influences.
Shipping wine is not like shipping paperback books. Wine is perishable, heavy, the bottles are breakable and the deliveries require an adult signature. Protective shipping materials are required, and a single 750ml bottle weighs four pounds. We are always on the lookout for better ways of transporting wine, but meantime, please understand that proper packaging and shipping is a worthwhile investment to protect your purchase.
We're happy to include a note from you with any wine you are gifting someone. Just add whatever wines you like to the Cart, then navigate to the CART PAGE, and enter your message in the box provided there.
“Harvested two days before the infamous fires started, the 2017 vintage of our Mt. Veeder Cab is a solid mountain wine with a subtle Malbec influence and a bold, structured body. Hot, dry conditions hitting at just the right time produced a beautiful, fully structured cluster of fruit with broad depth and balance. Put simply, this is an elegant bottle of wine.”
