With an early harvest this year, the cooler climate of the Coombsville AVA yielded grapes that helped create a super fruit-forward and approachable wine, showing silky tannins and a balanced table of both Red and Blue fruit components that add depth to a multi-layered palate.
Expressive on the nose, long front to back profile, while teasing to the side of the tongue and lingering long afterward.
Balance. Balance. Balance.
Yin and Yang are chilling together in this glass ...
Shipping wine is not like shipping paperback books. Wine is perishable, heavy, the bottles are breakable and the deliveries require an adult signature. Protective shipping materials are required, and a single 750ml bottle weighs four pounds. We are always on the lookout for better ways of transporting wine, but meantime, please understand that proper packaging and shipping is a worthwhile investment to protect your purchase.
We're happy to include a note from you with any wine you are gifting someone. Just add whatever wines you like to the Cart, then navigate to the CART PAGE, and enter your message in the box provided there.
“With the 2019 vintage, a couple of factors changed the "normal" outcome for this vineyard. First, we harvested here BEFORE Mt Veeder (We typically pick later because of the cooling effect of the San Pablo Bay) and secondly, we had a significantly smaller yield of fruit this year. Although smaller yields were common across the valley, the season did produce extraordinary quality with expressive, long, silky tannins, deep color and hue, and perfect acidity.”
